Step 3 — State authorization
Owning a scanner does not authorize you to submit. Each destination has an enrollment path: vendor or service-provider status, ORI relationships, and sometimes a separate AHCA or VECHS setup.
Florida (FDLE)
Civil live scan in Florida runs through FDLE channels. You need approved hardware, approved software, and the paperwork that lets your site submit. LiveScan360 assists with FDLE onboarding; final authorization still sits with FDLE and the requesting agency. Expect ORI-specific fees—browse them before you quote a school or hospital.
Federal & specialty
FBI civil products, FD-258 print packages, and AHCA Clearinghouse screenings are separate workflows—not “one button for everything.” Map the services you will actually sell in month one. Adding channels later is easier than going live with a menu you cannot fulfill.
Most LiveScan360 providers are operational within 3 to 5 business days after hardware and credentials are in place—days, not an open-ended legacy onboarding queue. See agency services.
