Check your Florida livescan TCN status

Enter your Transaction Control Number (TCN) to check the status of a Florida FDLE civil livescan fingerprint background check. Results come from FDLE's public CCHINET CWCS search — no account required.

Use the TCN on your receipt or the subject line of the FDLE submission email — the TCN alone, with no extra text. Florida livescan TCNs start with 70. Shareable links look like /tcn-lookup/70….

What this FDLE TCN lookup shows

This tool checks the processing status of a Florida livescan fingerprint submission using the Transaction Control Number (TCN) assigned at the time of capture. The status is retrieved from FDLE's Civil Workflow Control System (CWCS) through their public CCHINET search page.

  • Date Received — when FDLE received the electronic fingerprint submission.
  • Status — current processing state: IN PROGRESS, COMPLETED, REJECTED, PENDING, RECEIVED, or NOT FOUND.
  • ORI — the Originating Agency Identifier linked to the submission.
  • Completion Date — when FDLE finished processing (if applicable).

This is FDLE CWCS processing status only. It is not FBI NGI or CJIS status, and the requesting agency may still need additional time after FDLE completes its work.

Frequently asked questions

What is a TCN (Transaction Control Number)?
A TCN is the unique tracking number assigned to your Florida livescan fingerprint submission. It appears on your receipt and in the subject line of the FDLE submission email. Florida livescan TCNs typically start with 70 and are 10–22 characters long.
Where do I find my TCN?
Your TCN is on the receipt you received at the fingerprint capture site. It is also in the subject line of the email sent to FDLE when the livescan was submitted. If you do not have your receipt, contact the provider who captured your fingerprints.
What does each FDLE status mean?
IN PROGRESS means FDLE is actively processing the submission. COMPLETED means FDLE has finished and sent results to the requesting agency. REJECTED means the submission had an issue (often print quality) and may need to be resubmitted. PENDING and RECEIVED mean the submission is queued. NOT FOUND usually means FDLE has not ingested the submission yet — wait a few minutes and try again.
How long does FDLE processing take?
Most Florida livescan background checks are completed within 24–72 hours. However, processing times vary depending on workload and whether the submission requires manual review. If your status shows IN PROGRESS for more than 5 business days, contact FDLE Applicant Services at (850) 410-8161.
Why does my TCN show 'Not Found'?
'Not Found' most often means FDLE has not yet received or ingested the submission. This is common within the first few minutes after a livescan is transmitted. Wait 15–30 minutes and search again. If it persists after several hours, contact the provider who submitted your fingerprints to confirm the transmission was successful.
Is this the official FDLE status page?
No. This tool queries FDLE's public CCHINET TCN search page on your behalf. LiveScan360 does not host the FDLE database. You can also check directly at cchinet.fdle.state.fl.us. This lookup shows FDLE CWCS processing status only — it is not FBI NGI or CJIS status.
Does a COMPLETED status mean I passed the background check?
No. COMPLETED means FDLE has finished processing and sent results to the requesting agency (employer, licensing board, etc.). FDLE does not disclose pass/fail results through the public TCN lookup. Contact the agency that required the background check for your results.
